La Cantera Development Company retained Woodbine to develop a $6-million clubhouse at San Antonio’s La Cantera Golf Club in time for the Texas Open golf tournament in 1996. The companies then teamed with Starwood to develop the AAA Four-Diamond Westin La Cantera Resort. Woodbine remained in a resort asset management role through 2001.
