La Cantera Golf Club
Woodbine served as project and construction manager on the $6-million clubhouse at La Cantera Golf Club, a component of USAA’s master-planned La Cantera development. Delivering the La Cantera clubhouse on time and within budget won Woodbine an even better opportunity: development of The Westin La Cantera Resort, which opened in 1999 and is surrounded by the award-winning La Cantera Golf Club Resort Course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf. The Resort Course opened in 1995; the 18-hole Palmer Course was added to La Cantera Golf Club in 2001.
Woodbine sold its interest in the resort back to USAA/La Cantera Development Company in 1999 and continued to serve as asset manager through 2001.
