Designed by acclaimed architect Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates, this course makes the most of the terrain’s natural beauty. The layout plays like three courses in one, offering three distinct terrains: rolling prairie land, a heavily wooded ridgeline and a river valley dotted with native pecan trees. The name “Wolfdancer” was inspired by the historic Tonkawa tribe’s creation dance. The clubhouse architecture is patterned after a “four-square barn” design found in the historical farming communities of the area. Wolfdancer’s accolades include the No. 4 spot in The Dallas Morning News’ “Top 25 Expensive Courses” and Golf Magazine’s “Top 10 New Courses.”
“This … is a ‘young course’ that will just ‘get better with age’ and is already luring golfers to the ‘beautiful Hill Country’ just a ‘short drive’ from Downtown Austin; it offers ‘forgiving fairways’ and ‘tricky but fair greens’ that ‘get tougher as you head back into the trees’ …”
