This suburban office building development offers downtown sophistication and forms one half of the gateway to DFW Freeport, Woodbine's 550-acre international business community adjacent to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. In 1991 the Building Owners and Managers Association selected Freeport Place as Building of the Year for the Southwest region. (Also honored that year? The Empire State Building.) Woodbine served as developer on the project and handled the building's leasing and management until its sale in 1994. Today the building is known as Parkway Tower.
Lesson Learned - There is a good reason not to put a tenant’s name on the outside of your office building — especially if the tenant is a bank. Between 1983 and 1989, the name of our office building in DFW Freeport changed three times, as did the name of the anchor tenant — a bank. We finally settled on Freeport Place.
