The Westin La Cantera Resort is a 508-room destination resort hotel set on a heavily landscaped hilltop with commanding views of the Texas Hill Country, downtown San Antonio and the 7,001-yard, par 72, 18-hole championship La Cantera Golf Club course designed by Jay Moorish and Tom Weiskopf. The architectural design of the property was derived from the historic King Ranch “Big House.” The Gold Club opened in 1995 and has received numerous distinctions from Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Golfweek, Golf for Women, and Golf Shop Operation. It’s home to the Valero Texas Open at La Cantera on the PGA Tour. An 18-hole course designed by Arnold Palmer was added to the La Cantera facilities in 2001.
