Kierland Commons is a 38-acre “main street” development that incorporates retail, entertainment, office, restaurant and residential components. The project is within the Kierland master-planned community, a 730-acre, mixed-use development in Scottsdale Road resort corridor in northeast Phoenix, Arizona. The different uses are dispersed throughout the Commons in one, two, and three-story buildings and front on the project’s Main Street and interior roadways. A lushly landscaped central plaza with shops, restaurants and a distinctive fountain create an intimate gathering pace. Unique architecture and planning of public spaces evoke a “main street” ambiance. The integrity of the Commons is maintained through a carefully developed set of design guidelines that ensure continuity of quality, while encouraging a customized storefront for each tenant. The most recent addition to Kierland Commons includes 30 condominium units that were sold before construction began. The next phase of the Plaza Lofts will be an additional 54 units of for sale condominiums available for occupancy in November 2007.
